June 2021

Finally we are seeing a light at the end of the tunnel for the Covid-19 Pandemic here in Charleston and we are ready to fish! We have fortunately been busy with fishing charters! Fishing has been right there with it, we are starting to fish the creeks less and the harbor more. Its just that time of the year where we starting having more productive trips in the harbor,

While there are still large Redfish, Trout and Sheepshead in the creeks, live Shrimp have been very tough to find with rising water temperatures. Menhaden have showed up to stay until the fall, Menhaden are our first bait of choice to use this time of year. Sharks have showed up behind the menhaden for good as well. As they are not the worst by catch, they are hanging in the same spots are our larger Redfish spot. Come book a half day trip and lets see what we can catch!

July is also a great time of the year to target larger species. July and August are Charlestons hotter months which really increases the water temper allowing migratory fish such as Tarpon, Cobia and Jack Crevalle come closer in to our bottom structure spots in the harbor. A morning half day inshore charter is definitely recommended this time of year to ensure enough time to get in on the action.
